    It's fine, just a Mcdonalds.

A billion times better than before! The location was completely remodeled and is open for business. A much needed improvement. We stop by anytime we're in the area.

This has to be the worst food I have ever received from a McDonalds. I ordered the fries with no salt because there were about 8 or 9 servings of fries already boxed up so they could get nice and cold before being served to someone thinking they would have to make mine fresh. Nope, they figured out that trick and now seem to have unsalted fries also ready and chilled for those who try to work around their system for giving out cold french fries. Ordered the Triple because the advertising for it looked amazing. I have a picture I will post of what was advertised and what I was served.

I know this is a McDonalds. I don't expect 5 star service. I don't even expect good service. But my service was so bad, I felt compelled to write a review. Ordered a Big Mac meal and 2 McChicken wraps. Man repeats back "2 6 piece chicken nuggets?" Were off to a bad start. I repeat order, he apologizes and I pull forward and pay. I receive 2 wraps and ask where my Big Mac meal is. I'm told "that's all that's on the ticket" as if I'm just going to drive off without half my order. I ask politely for the rest of my order and she hesitantly takes the bag back. She then hands me a fish filet sandwich...? Ok. Strike 2. I repeat my order for the what seems like 100th time. I then receive my 2 wraps back. Sweet Jesus WHERE IS MY BIG MAC MEAL!? Then a manager gets involved and I repeat myself again. He asks for a receipt as if I'm trying to con them out of maybe $5 worth of food -_- I don't have one but after insisting I'm not leaving without what I ordered (clearly an unreasonable request) they reluctantly ask me to pull over and they will have it out shortly. Literally could have gone to Red Coat, gotten a burger, paid and left in the time this took. And these people want $15 an hour? Lolz

I only go to McDonald's out of desperation or when I have a gift card. This trip explained why. Ordered two sandwiches without mayo. Both had mayo. I don't understand why I even bother ordering things without mayo anymore. Between here and Sonic it is maddening. Seriously, who ever wants mayo on their sandwich? Gross. Fat.

The worst customer service and good luck for them to get your order correct. They basically don't care because they told me they were just too busy for quick resolution to screwing up my order twice in a row. I will never visit this location again.

  • Damian G.

Never want to leave a bad review, but this is necessary. Screwed up my order last week, twice in one visit. Went to the website and commented on my service, and they gave me a code for a free breakfast. Was refused the free breakfast by the manager.

Time to tear down and rebuild or just sell the land to Formtec. Dirty, slow and food tastes like crap. What more can be said?

This review deals with the customers of this McDonald's. This location has a unique drive thru setup as you drive to the far back on their lot and order, then drive up to the building. From the drive thru menu to the actual building is a space about 80 or so feet. This space is for the customers exiting the restaurant that chose to eat in. There is a big sign that says to not block this space, as it is meant for these exiting customers to drive through. Every single time I visit this location I see ignorant people who pull forward after ordering and block this area. It is the simplest of tasks, yet everyone ignores it. Just had to vent, I am done...

Disclaimer: I've never eaten-in at this McDonalds. It's close enough to my house (and conveniently close for after-Kroger/Meijer shopping) that I always just hit the drive-through. Soooo...location. It's convenient for me. Downside: hands-down, this location has screwed up my order more than ANY OTHER MCDONALDS I visit...and I don't visit that many. I'm not super-picky, I'm not one of those with ten different special requests on my order. I just hate cheese. Yup, you read that right, I HATE CHEESE AND I WILL NOT APOLOGIZE FOR IT! Consequently, when I go to a drive-through and order my burger without cheese, I ENUNCIATE that. I HATE CHEESE SO PLEASE DON'T MELT IT ALL OVER MY BIG MAC! This location, though, has slapped nasty icky melted sloppy cheese all over my burger more often than any other McDonalds OR Burger King that I visit. I guess it's my fault for not learning and continuing to visit, but...DAMN YOU CONVENIENCE! One other thing...much like the McDonalds on 11 Mile in downtown Royal Oak, the pretzel-like configuration of the drive-through vs. the parking lot is WEIRD. Heed the (one small) sign and DON'T BLOCK THE DRIVEWAY. You WILL get honked at!!! One teeny-tiny saving grace...I always make a note of ANY drive-through that keeps a box of doggie treats at the drive-through and offers one up when my pup is riding shotgun. That always makes me smile.

It's a McD's. drive through makes sense, staff is friendly, good location.

  • Erik M.

This is the crummiest McDonald's I've ever been to. And that's not saying much. The first problem I have with this place is that it closes at 11pm. The location of this place is pretty bad to begin with, but it's the closest to me, so my friends and I have tried to make a few Big Mac runs (no pun intended) only to find that they're closed before the 11:00 episode of the Simpsons starts. How sad. We always end up going to the one on 13 & Woodward. 24 hours of diabetes. One thing that bothers me about McDonalds in general is the automated welcome in the drive-thru. Some woman tells me about fresh apple pies, and when I'm half-way through explaining my order some dude comes on and asks what I want. If you're not ready for me, I'll wait. Don't give me a commercial. Another problem with this location is the speed of service. As I've said before, I don't go to McDonalds often (Taco Bell fo life), but I seem to wait an eternity to get my fries. Damn those fries! If MickieD's didn't have them I'd never need to put myself through this. It's like crack. All told, the McDonalds on 13 & Woodward is open 24 hours, and I never have to wait too long to get my fry fix. This location, not so much.

This is honestly the first time I've written a review and wished I could give zero stars. The is the worst McDonald's I have ever been to. Let's start with service. You'll be lucky to get any. On one evening I sat at the drive through watching the employees goof around and smoke in back...No one helped me. I tried politely saying "hello?" into the speaker hoping there might be one employee left in the building to assist me but no such luck. I will say this was my worst experience but that's not saying much at this place. Now for food... Worst fries of any McDonald's I've ever been to. My hamburgers are always messy and falling apart. They frequently send me off with the wrong burger or with something missing off it. Basically, this place is a sad excuse for a McDonald's. Just drive right by and go to the location on 13 and Woodward and save yourself the frustration.

I often ask myself, does anyone work at this place...or anyone who's listening at all.. Whenever I was there it was either closed or my order was wrong...
